That is a valid point. Understanding why that is so is a large part of the real answqer.i see mixing topics in the effects section. Asking a good topic like, what plugins one uses to beef/smash up the drums, would fall under mixing imo and I don't go looking for mixing topics in the effects area.
So it would be nice to have a devoted mix n master section.
Personally, I would not consider that a mixing thing but sound design. It ends up in Effects because people unwisely think that it is Pluginz that do the work - if only they can find Da Plug Ov Famousness dey iz da bomb. Sadface as that has totally missed the point.
It shows that what people will do regardless, is spray their Q abso-friggin-lutely everywhere. Even if you have a section for mixing, people will ask how to make caw farts sound blammin' in the Tesla cars subreddit.
What I do know is that people who want to learn to Master their Craft either create a one-on-one relationship with a Master and work that -OR- take no responsibility at all and spray themselves all over the place, creating a pretense of activity, and wonder why it never happens for them.
I do keep an eye on the Production and Sound sections and see so few Q asked, past how to clone some sound. Never do I see people a) showing a specific mix and asking how it can be bettered, or b) engaging with quality material posted.
