Despite of the fact that you have not heard back from me (and the MASSIG Group) lately, we have continued our meetings in January 2025. In around mid-February, we decided on our meeting to split the group into two: the Visually-Impaired-oriented and a group focusing on other impairments (such as physical and cognitive ones). The Visually-impaired group had its first meeting on March 6th, 2025, from which a summary follows below (held at 16.03 onwards UK Time, 18.03 onwards Finnish time (EET) and 8.03 onwards American Pacific time (PT):

• Upcoming Events: The participants discussed attending the Berkeley College of Music event and the DAW working group meeting in Berlin. Athan Billias mentioned plans to meet with various stakeholders to advance music accessibility initiatives.
Here is the list of Technical Terms:
• LV2: A standard plug-in format used on the Linux platform.
• MIDI 2.0: The updated version of the MIDI protocol, enhancing communication between musical instruments and software.
• VST3, AU, CLAP, AAX: Different plugin formats supported by various digital audio workstations.
• UMP (Universal MIDI Package): A format for sending MIDI messages with high resolution.
Conclusion:
To sum up, the group reached a consensus to divide meetings into marketing/awareness and developmental focuses to streamline discussions and improve efficiency. A collaborative effort to create a music accessibility catalog was agreed upon, with plans for a prototype to be showcased at the Berkeley event.
